这是一本由十几位著名摄影师共同完成的年历，当然其中一些摄影师比另一些要更著名一些。他们中大部分都参加过纽约，北京，上海等地的摄影展，当然这包括个展，三人，五人以及更多人的群展。所有的照片都围绕沙发、椅子的主题，标榜“休息，休息一下”的理念；一扫挂历界艳俗糖水的积习，以桀骜的姿态。。。姗姗来迟。晚是晚了一点，但是我们是与众不同的。这是一本挂历，更是一本画册。有谁会去翻看那些5年前的挂历呢，但是这一本Take A Rest在3年5年之后仍然会在书架的一角吸引你的访客的目光。
并且，所有摄影师，挂历的设计师都是义务工作；挂历销售所得去除印刷费用全部捐献慈善机构。

BEIJING TAXI is a lyrical feature length documentary that vividly portrays the ancient capital of China going through a profound transformational arch. Through a humanistic lens, the intimate lives of three taxi drivers thread through the morphing city of Beijing confronted with modern issues and changing values. BEIJING TAXI has been supported by a grant from the prestigious Sundance Institute Documentary Fund, the New York State Council for the Arts, the Jerome Foundation, also supported by the IFP Filmmaker’s Lab, Tribeca All Access, and IFP Market. After three years in the making, I’ve locked picture and will start post work in the next week.
I just launched a Kickstarter pledge campaign to try to raise the funding I still need to bring the film to its finish line and to the festival. I would be immensely grateful if you could put a post on your blog about BEIJING TAXI’s Kickstarter efforts. And if you could spread the word to any other Asian interest blogs, organizations, newsletters, etc… We really need the help from the Asian community to spread the word about the film as well as help us get the film to the finish line. The FUNDING DEADLINE for this project is set for FEBRUARY 14, on Chinese New Year! There are a lot of great reward incentives for making a pledge. We must raise the FULL $11,000 before the deadline or it goes back to ZERO. PLEASE HELP get this film out there!
